Crescent Derby Fun

We had another fun trip! thumbsup We fished Friday and only caught 2 small 6 inch fish, I was kind of worried that we weren't going to catch enough fish for the weigh in. Luckily we got up early and were out on the water before it was light. It was really hard to see the poles at first. Then once it started to get light we started catching fish. We caught most of our fish across the lake from Simax camp ground. While we were out there we had a crazy guy cut right in front of us, dad had to put the motor in neutral to keep from crashing into them. After we had enough fish to weigh in we started looking around for bigger fish, we never did find one. We caught most of our fish on my Kokanee Killer lure, and a couple on a KokaneeKid spin glow. We were using UV Sling Blade dodgers, the big ones and small ones.

Camping was fun but the mosquitoes were terrible! I had fun talking to Ken and Darnell (the park dale posse). Rick was funny as usual, and Gary had a lot of fun stories. I sure hope Gary catches a fish with my lure, he said that if he did he would say something about me on Angler West TV. That is one of my favorite shows I watch it all the time. If he doesn't maybe I will have to go with him and show him how to use it! laugh hyst Sunday we went to Odell for a few hours and Richard (Kokonuts) went with us. I had fun fishing with him, we only caught 3 fish but they were nicer than the fish in Crescent, they also fought better and were more fun to reel in.

Sure wish you could make it to the Odell Lake derby. I see you made your first Pro staff. Way to go, you are climbing up that "Kokanee Fishing Ladder" super fast.

Great to talk with you and your dad at the group camp. Bummer you won't be at Odell. Thanks for the lure, it will definitely be in our arsenel from now on. Will have to make it to Merwin to fish with you (and learn) in the future. Hope to see you at the derbies next year.
