we fished deadwood two weeks ago and did pretty darn good. we havent been there in 15 years and just wanted to get up there. put in on the north side of the reservoir and mainly trolled the cut bank on the west side. did catch some down by the dam and near the islands too. we landed 22 and missed/lost a dozen or so. had a few that were getting a little color. they arent huge...12" - 14" and healthy. they were fighting like big dogs though.

Looks like a good catch! I'm heading up there next week to fish for them. I'm sure the larger age classes are already heading up so it will be interesting to see what we can catch. I'll report back.
 
We only fish a very short time, but it was still pretty good. Fished later in the evening towards dark and the fish were up high. I only put one color out on the two leaded lines we had and they were hitting consistently. Fish ranged from 9" to 13". Since school has started you have the whole place to yourself.
