Detroit Anyone?

Going to Detroit this week and wondering if anyone had been there lately? What are some good areas to fish there for Koks? And how deep?

I was driving back from Ontario and then Redmond for work and stopped by Detroit Lake Dam just to see what everyone was catching... I talked to a guy who said that the kid to the left of me had caught a 21 inch Chinook and I was the biggest fish for the day.. I walked over to the group of guys with the kid because I wanted to take a look at the big Chinook. I was expected a really big fish, but what I found when they showed the fish to me was a 14inch kok in the cooler, and I was in great shape very fat. I told him that it was a kokanee, but he insisted that his kid caught a Chinook. I didn't want to argue with him.... Maybe I should have pulled the kokaneekid card...

He said that his son caught it with a worm..

I should have told his kid to put a buzz bomb on with some corn... I think his son could have been the new kokaneekid... I mean Chinookkid

I might fish it this weekend if I get my HONEY DO list taken care of..

Up there a couple of weeks ago and had a pretty good run of fish on the south shore line just east of blow out. got out to about 160ft deep and fished at 50 feet. The thermocline was thick enough that my fishfinder wasn't detecting much, but caught several nice fish in the 13 to 15 inch range.
