double hook rigs

I use the egg loop knot for all my rigs. They have several good videos on the web. Just google "egg loop knot" and pick one. With a little practice you set the distance between the hooks at whatever distance you want. I like to have the bottom of the bend of the top hook sitting an 1/8 of an inch above the eye of the bottom hook. Hooks facing opposite of each other.

You'll see that first you learn to tie the knots.
Then you start finding little tricks to make tying them easier, more repeatable, and faster.

At the onset of each new season (when I tend to tie up a bunch of new hooks) its the tricks that I sometimes forget and have to rediscover.
