early start

how early do the kokes turn on? its ice out in the east already and the water is in the low 40's. was heading but probably just for trout. i figure the kokes are scattered now.

Probably very regional. The lake I fish out West has already put out a few limits and from what I've read here, the Washington guys are already into them heavy. It has no where to go but up from here but certainly worth going out for a combo trout/koke trip. I'm averaging 3 - 1 trout over kokes but still bringing a half dozen kokes to the boat.
