Went up to Elk Creek ramp yesterday, there is still a substantial amount of snow, about 2 1/2-3 ft in the parking area, not sure how deep the snow is down the ramp, did not walk down it. It is definitely melting and there were a couple of exposed spots in the parking area that were bare. The air temp was 33 on my car.

Hey Sage68, was the water open down by the damn? I called the Cafe in pine last weekend and they said the north end of the reservior was froze with snow on it..

totally open! I was up at Pine last Sunday and it looked like the ice was off where the "narrows" open up towards the dam. From the dam looking east you can see open water as far as you can see

Thank you sir..... Was there still snow on the ramp at Curlew?

Hey. Not calling you a liar, just looking for clarification. 2.5-3 feet of snow but there are open patches? That doesn't exactly make sense in my mind.

The main parking area has (had) about that amount of snow, just east of the outhouse there was exposed ground, like about a 1 1/2' of exposed ground. As you stand at the outhouse and look North you are looking at a significant amount of snow. The open patches was my attempt to say is was melting (I wasn't very clear)

Hey Pauli-there was yes. The turn off from the Pine road into the "ramp road" had a "snow bank" like previous years. Not sure how much the actual ramp has though. I have not been up there since-

Thanks for the update Sage68

Went to the ramp at Elk Creek today. Temp in Mountain Home was 51 degrees when I left at about 1130-at noon up there it was 36 degrees. The ramp is clear except for a little bit of snow to the hill on the west side of the ramp. The DOCK IS NOT IN THE WATER. The parking area is melting and there is some exposed ground near the outhouse and a little to the north but not very much room to park. The Fall Creek road itself is open so there is parking along the road-
