Finally saying hi to all you kokanee-freaks…. Just kidding. I’ve been poking around here for a while, ever since Herzog got me interested in Kokes. I have since moved on and you can now find me every Saturday morning hanging with Tom Nelson and Rob Endsley on 710, ESPN The OUTDOOR LINE. I plan to spend a good number of days on the water this year, chasing Kokanee. In a few weeks on the show, we will introduce a weekly segment “The NW Kokanee Zone”. This will be your opportunity, the Kokanee Fishermen, to bring forth the info. I will spend the next several weeks and beyond connecting with Kokanee fishermen throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho and gathering information. One goal will be to list the TOP 15 Kokanee destinations in the NW. This will be by majority rule. I want the Kokanee Fishermen of the NW to rate your top 15. One or two fishermen’s opinions are just that, personal opinion. The more that have a say, the more it quantifies the info. We will also talk specific techniques, locations, depths, troll speed, temperature, and color choice for your lures, dodgers and flashers… Etc. Etc. Etc…
Lots of info in, tons of info out, that’s the goal. We will show case a specific area each week and educate the masses on the how too’s and why for’s…
I certainly don’t have time to fish every destination, although I will put a dent in it, if I have a say in the matter.
This is why I will rely on you guys and gals. This is your opportunity to get involved. I will pull info from here and or you can send me Emails to [email protected].
You can also go over to our forum’s page at www.theoutdoorline.com and leave me info there as well. Three locations to spill info and I will grab a ton of it.
Looking forward to spending time here and see what you guys have going on in this great little community of the Kokanee…
