I wake up to the phone ringing, it's the skipper. He wants me to come over and smoke a stogie. I suggest we smoke on the boat! We get to the ramp at noon to see a choppy American lake.

I say to the skip "this was your idea right"? He just shakes his head. Shortly after skips brother shows up. I think to myself, what have I gotten us into? The reports from the day before were not good. I just hope to hook a few fish with the windy conditions. Well we did much better than that! I did not have much time to take pictures, my bad :D We hooked 29, landed 15, 2 doubles, and had 1 tripple hook-up but lost 2 of the 3, and back at the ramp at 2:30.

I did more than my share of losing fish, still don’t know why. Maybe that’s just kokanee fishing, had worse days losing koke's! And yes there is 12 koke's in the pic., skip's I mean the Kokanee Dominator's brother took a few home for dinner.
Any way the wind was constant and we even had a few white cap's at times. With the wind blowing we did the run-n-gun, run into the wind, troll with the wind, and repeat. Same bag of tricks worked great. Guess what I'm having for dinner.

I am glad to hear that you fared better than us yesterday! We attempted the "run n gun" yesterday and it was at the end of the first run that the wind was at its worst and we decided to bag it. Glad to hear that your same stuff worked for you again. See you on Thursday to head down to Merwin!

I forgot to mention we forgot one piece of very important equipment, the NET! The funny thing is not one fish was lost because we had no net! I was sure we were guna hook into a monster and have no way to land it.
