Just got back from diving LBC Deschutes arm. Top 10ft were so-so for vis. (0-2ft) because of the algae, Below 10 ft vis was up to 10ft. That is realy good for the lake. Temp at for the top 40-45 ft was 44 Deg. F. All in all a good day to be under water.

Sorry

No Fish, most fresh water fish do not like Divers. Bass are the exception. We also just went to play for the 2nd dive of the year. It did feel good to get wet though. We never see any fish in LBC, (Bass exempt). The small mouth bass like to be fed. They will follow you around swimming behind waiting for you to kick something up off the bottom. We feed them crawdads by hand all the time. If you pick up crawdads and crush them in your hands and broadcast them in the water, they go after the chunks like they are starving. Also we only shore dove this time, limiting us to around the launches and docks, for time sake.

We do see Kokanee at Paulina later in the year though. You can fall through huge schools at different times of the year. I have see some very large fish in some of the lakes; Rainbows at Wic. Res. and a pair of massive browns at Paulina one year.
