Has any been up there lately. If any one has any reports or has herd whats working please let me know

I'm going up Friday for 2 weeks to visit family and fish. Most are saying its been slow, and some of the fish are starting to turn. See you on the lake, I have a black N River with a Honda pusher.

Please do write a report when you get back. We love Wallowa but have already been this year, in May. Curious about waterskiing vs fishing this time of year. Do the skiiers interfere much with the trolling? Good luck and have a great trip!!

Just came back from Wallowa last night . Had 4 days of fishing.
3 fantastic days and 1 slower day.
There wernt that many people playing on the lake a few here and there but not to bad.
Thursday was worse for that kinda thing then monday thru wed. Wed was cold and almost had the lake to ourselves. Might have been a half dozen boats in all.
When I get a chance this evening I will post some photos and more details.

got back yesterday. fish at 30 ft deep. orange hoochie 12 inch leader. behind a 4 inch dodger. it will catch so many fish it make u want to stop fishing. had a great time no monsters and lots of little fish. there are allot of wakr boater but bad in the morning and later in day. o ya and maggots or fire corn. bigger fish are starting to turn so head up there soon if u are going to go

Wallowa

Fished only 3 days...Was trying for larger fish 2 of those days, fishing deep. Lost one ~20" a couple feet short of the net, hooked at 50'. Pretty slow in all. Fished shallow at the head one day and kept 14, with lots of small fish. All the changing weather seems to be keeping them off the bite a little. Best results were with an orange Assasin spinner. Lot of small ones on a spinner gang and UV Red & Silver Spin Glo/green or pink hootchie fished at 20-30'. Lots of large fish on the finder, generally at 60-100', but they weren't biting. Last year we would see them on the finder rising up to our check out our outfits, but not so much this year.
