Took my wife and granddaughter to GP today. Lake was windy when we got there and windy when we left. Tried the boat ramp arm to stay out of the wind caught a couple of small ones that we let go and 1 about 12in. Thought the wind was going to let up a little and tried down by the dam but tting with the wind was to fast and trolling into it was to frustrating. Ended the day around 6 with only 5 in the boat. Caught a couple on orange and white squid and some on red wedding rings. Would like to know how others faired in wind today and what worked?

Yep, pretty darn windy!
We got there a little after 1:00, mostly I wanted to try out some new equipment. I ran down to the dam and trolled with the wind all the way to the Island. The fish started out small, but got bigger the further from the dam.
Blue or purple seemed to be the color starting out, by evening we were catching on green. We only boated a dozen fish, probably lost twice that many on the way to the boat.

Wind got pretty stiff by 1:30 on Saturday and only let up a little on EARLY Sunday morning. We managed 17 on mostly purple and white hoochies with a green butt sepps @50ft. Not great but OK RP
