Hey guy's;
what do you guy's think of the mx series gregor boats to set up for trolling.
would there be a better choice in the price range, it is the walk thru model.
have a large boat, wanted something for trout and kokanee fishing.

tight lines

Are you looking at the 15 or 17' model? Brand new or used?

Gregors are well known for being quality boats in the class. It could make a great trolling boat. Smaller boat = smaller engine = better gas mileage + smaller tow vehicle + smaller trolling motor+less batteries, cheaper tires, less maintenance, etc.
Cons...Less room and less comfortable, more susceptable to rough water, wind, wakes, etc. Probably only two fisherman and/or two DRs realistically for trolling except maybe the 17 foot model.

I have a 14 foot Klamath and it trolls great. Problem is I can only carry two DRs and one person, and I avoid windy days like the plague. I think the MX would be a little step up from mine though with higher sides and wider beam.

Have u gone to the website and cheked out the OSPREY 17. I have never seen one of these on the water, but me likey! Probably as much $ or near as much as a heavier aluminum boat though.

Good luck, Old School
