Gripe about cost

I had to do some wire work on my Minn Kota this weekend and I can't figure out why the connector price for 8 ga. wire was 3 X the price for the same 10 ga. connectors. I had to buy them in a small pack even though I just needed a couple. The pack was just over $13!

dave are you talking butt or eye. I buy from platt for my electrical connections and the long barrel solid copper bbcu 8ga my price is under 3.00 and the short barrel bcu 8ga is cheaper yet and these are the heavy commercial ones we use for submersible pumps not the cheesy automotive ones. the long barrel is 2'' long so you can get a longer splice and a lot better conn. then shrink tube over it. try platt for your electrical connections. dfly

Okay, it's been a week and my hyde is still chapped. Shawn, this was the plain old cable end eyes to go on the threaded battery terminals. I might not have felt so bent over if they were the heavy, solid copper style.
