Just got my Jann's Netcraft catalog and wow, you could build everything but the boat from this book.

It shows a few spinner blades that I have never heard of and I was wondering if anyone has used them and can give a report on them

One is the propeller blade, and it looks just like it's name.

The other is a Dumbbell Propeller and it also looks like it's name.

The last one is a Junebug blade with some type or arm on it that is supposed to keep the blade away from the shaft. ???

I will most likely stick with my Indiana and Willow Leafs, but these things look interesting and may set out some good vibrations.

Both style blades you mention were designed for front and rear of BIG stick baits, the kind used for Northerns, Muskies and some Largemouth Bass. I don't know how well they would work on Kokanee but I'd rather find something to provide eratic action.

I've never used those blades, always thought of them more for use on wire shafts...might just be worth a try though. My spinner type rigs are all on mono...the blades are attached with folded clevises. One blade I didn't see mentioned is the Dakota blade...I've had pretty good success with them.thumbsup

Got mine too!
Last year I made up some Flashers with the Bass Blades on p. 6. They work well for a small flasher that dosnt weigh much.

This year I am looking at the the trolling spoons for dodgers on P.7. I also have some ideas for the Basswood Plug Bodies P.23, skirts for something like the hoochies P.12 and The Swirl tail grubs P.50 !

Its a great Catalog with lots of GOOD STUFF!.....thumbsup......Kokonuts

Just found a mepps website that has the actuall recorded sounds (vibrations) from different types of spinner blades, mostly larger size blades but very interesting.

The factory wedding ring comes with a small blade, #1 or #2 size. I wonder if that is to produce the correct vibration?????

I wonder if anyone has found one style of blade more productive than another. Not talkin color here, just blade shape.

Elktalker may be the guy to answer that question.

During the summer I don't worry about this stuff.........cabin fever maybe:eek:
