Wow!, What a great catch, and a story to match it, I could feel your excitment in each word, like other readers I just knew you were going to lose him, but instead you did it all to perfection.

Congratulations,

Ken

Wow is all I can say. Congratulations on a job well done and a great story to go with it. The gorge has great fish in it and at one time had many large browns like that one. Maybe sometime in the near future it will have them again since they have started restocking them.thumbsup

An update on the age of the Brown

A nice California F&G guy aged the scales I sent him and he determined that the fish was between eight and nine years old. I was thinking that it was a lot older than that. But I've learned that they can only live twelve to fourteen years. If the fish is that young, there must be a lot more big ones around.

Wow!!!!!!Haven't seen anything like that in Washington. I'm going to hit American Lake tomorrow and see what I can stir up. Got the itch - been over two months since I've been on the water.

I parked the boat for the winter...have other things I have to do. The closest thing I've done to fishing is talk to you guys onlline. I haven't had a wall-mount done of the fish as it would be too large for any space I have in the house. (I never had that problem before...I guess I need a bigger house). We have photos up, though. If I ever decide to have a wall-mount made, I have all the photos, measurements and a detailed tracing of the fish.
