Well planning on heading up to lake Tahoe for fish for the kokane salmon again this year. Last year was a little slow but we caught some fish. They were on the small side. Any how, has anyone been fishing for the kokane on lake Tahoe this year. I was just wondering how the fishing is this year so far. we will be heading up around July 24 and staying a week. Hopefully the fishing will be good.

Thanks Pappy

Well day two fishing sucks, one kokane, not seeing very much action from other boats either. 5 more days to go. Maybe my luck will change.

Here's what I do when fishing new waters...

Buy a portable GPS.

Hire the best local guide.

Keep the GPS on in your lunch box whilst fishing.

Take NOTE of fishing depths & productive time/s.

Purchase the EXACT lures/bait/terminal tackle the guide used.

Place the GPS coordinates on the appropriate lake map.

You know have the EXACT information a guide has!!!

You can Thank Me when your fish cooler is FULL!!!...Mark

Good going!

Thursday July 30th. Well caught one lake trout. Never could hook up on a kokane. Saw a couple of fishing guides hooking up on one or two. Fishing slow. Still had a great trip. Next year will be much better I will be staying for several months to fish. Retirement, Ya.
