I fished LBC 11/29 with my nephew from California. While we mostly targeted Bull trout we ran one rod for Kokanee. We ended the day with 9 without really trying. They ranged in size from 9 to 11.5 inches. Most were 10.5 to 11 inches. The one larger fish was a nice fish that gives me some hope for larger fish this coming season.

I did not get a picture of the Kokanee, but here is the largest of the Kokanee processing plants we caught.

Beautiful day and a perfect trip for my nephew.

That is good news for LBC since the size of the fish have been on the small size to say the least... How was the skin issue on the kokanee?...

P.S. stop taking pictures of the NON-Important fish we want to see KOKANEE... although that is a very nice Bull Trout how was the fight?

It was very nice to see some larger fish in the mix. There will definitely be some 12 inch fish this year. There are always some Copepods on the fish, but it was not as bad as I have seen in the past. The water color was also better that I have seen in the past two years.

The fish was actually really good. I was using a 1-10 lb Angler's Touch rod from Shasta Tackle so I was ultralite fishing. At first I thought I had snagged the bottom due to the line burning run the fish first made. I turned the boat around and tried to get on the other side of the "snag" before realizing it was a fish.101duh101 I gave that fish all the slack it needed, and more, to get off.

Also if anybody to give me any tips on fishing 4 bull trout and browns that would be greatly appreciated. I have never fished for them so a place to start would be great. What to use , where toI start on billy chinook, tackle.etc.

Was out there yesterday, landed a 4lb, a 7lb and a 20" Bull. Trolling herring behind an 8" dodger over by the dam got the bigger ones at 95' and the smaller one at 30' on a flatfish. Cast jig to Kokanee jumpers, been limiting on them guys.
