LEADER LENGTH FOR KOKANEE?

A fella named gfakkema on kokanee 101 said he likes to use 13.5 inch leaders on his kokanee gear, but he doesn't say for sure how he measures that length. Does anyone know for sure if it's from the bottom of the lowest hook to the snap on the lowest end of the dodger, or are they measuring it from the top of the lure/blade to the snap at the bottom end of the dodger? Thanks for the help.

If you look at the article again, there is a small part under the leader length section that says how I measure it and yes, it's from the bend of the trailer hook to the top of my loop. I also covered it in a bit more detail here:

gfakkema: Thank you for getting back to me. I thought it was as you just explained, but I wasn't sure. I have my size 1 hooks and flash all tied up on leaders and ready for beads as of last night, so now I can proceed on to the rest of it. Thanks again.

Did you end up using drop shot style hooks or octopus? Drop shot hooks and real gold and silver blades are a HUGE game changer.
