I just received 150' of braided 135# downrigger line from Cabela's. I have one of the small Scotty lake troll downriggers with no line counter. How would you mark the line ? I was thinking about orange spray paint every 10 ' Anyone have a better idea ? Jack

Nail polish may work as good. Whatever you use make sure you can see it in adverse conditions like in darkness if that applies to you.

I used fluorescent orange spray paint on the cable that I am replacing, but it washed off after a couple trips. I was wondering about some sort of clip. like the small spit sleeve that you use when you replace the terminal snap on the cable. I'm thinking that it may cut the braided line though. Jack
