Last year I started using a simple tubular shaped pool thermometer at Stampede. I clipped it to my rigger ball and trolled as usual, cranked it up quickly and it seems to work fine. I have not gone below 50-60 feet and I don’t know how accurate it is but it works for me.
It was interesting to see the temp differences at different parts of the lake. There is no way I’m spending huge money on temp. I spent big money on an LCX so I'm good. But I have a Tin Lizzy boat. 101juggle101
