Merwin yesterday

My son and I went to Merwin for the first time this year. Nice day, a little windy and rough. Fishing was not the best, we tried just about everything but Dupont spinners. Manged to boat two nice fish.

Thanks for the post. Were there very many boats up there today? Any snow on the road? Obviously, Ive never been to Merwin, dont have any idea how far up in the mts it is. I saw a Joy of Fishing show recently where the they were catching kokes like crazy. It may have been a last years show!! From all the reports at Lake Stevens, American Lake and now Merwin, i have to conclude its just too early and wait for some warmer weather. 101goodpost101

There were 20-30 boats by the time we got back to the dock at 2:30. No snow at that level. Talked to a guy about my age who got out at noon and had his limit by 2:00. He was usingh ford fenders with a hootchie and maybe 1 oz of weight not far behind the boat. Caught them all in one area (not identified). I think we were basically too deep.
