hey i am heading to great falls next week and was wondering if there is any good Kokanee fishing near great falls, ok... trout will do too. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure how the fishing is now but in years past, we had great success fishing for Kokes at Lake Mary Ronan which is north and west of where you are at. We used to catch crawdads at night and then jig for the Kokes using crawdad tail meat for bait. I have heard rumors that some "bucket biologists" dumped some ring perch in the lake and they have ruined the Kokanee fishing. You might ask around to see if the fishing is still good. There's some nice cabins for rent at Camp Tuffitt on the lake. Very rustic but reasonably priced and a fun place for the family. Not even sure Camp Tuffitt is still in operation.l
We used to take the family there every year.
