I started fishing earlier than I had planned. How many times have you heard that? I couldn’t sleep so I went to Clear Lake and started fishing at 6:15am. It took me a half an hour to find the kokanee on the south side of the lake somewhere in the middle. Then the bite was on but I probably lost as many as I got. I prayed that they wouldn’t be hooked to bad because I forgot the pliers on my desk. Got three in the box and then they were gone. So I trolled around looking for them. I was at the lake 2.25 hours before filling my limit. All fish were 10-11 inches. I did have one that hit the lure which came off the clip and straight up into the air and the hook came out. I think it was a 12 incher.
The weather was overcast and a few times I thought it was going to clear up but it didn’t. The water was warm to the touch. I caught all fish at 25-28 feet of cable in water from 60 to 90 feet deep. Wannafish A Lure Bloody Mary caught most of the fish below a watermelon colored Sep’s dodger with Rainbow coming in second with 2 sling blade dodger’s, green and yellow. 50/50 didn’t do anything today. Shoepeg corn and Berkeley maggots were my bait.
Now deep fried Kokanee and sweet potato fries are for dinner.

Nice job Toni

Toni, Once again nice job! I went out with a buddy last Thursday 8/4. Hit the lake at 6am, Wow it was busy! There were two at the ramp ahead of me and by the time i launched two more waiting behind me. Anyways got on the lake and fished the south shoreline picked up a fish right away then was a little slow. But then the bite hit about 730 and we picked up fish one right after another. Pink dick nite behind a silver with red sling blade was the ticket. Long line with a green wedding ring was second. Fish were 28 - 30 in 60 to 80 feet of water.

Awesome Job Toni!!!! I haven't been on the forum lately due to technical difficulties with my home computer. Luckily my Tech Savy older son was able to get us back up and running.

Great report Toni, we all like to hear the details of your fishing. The lure color, the depth of water, depth of presentation and so on. Atta Boy.
