Well I was awake this morning at 330 contemplating going fishin, I said what the heck. I got up hooked up the boat, and attempted to wake the boy up with no luck. Now where to go, I’ve been hitting Riffe a lot lately and didn’t feel like the drive. I pulled into one of my favorite lakes that I have fished since late April or early May I can’t remember. Launched the boat at about 515 and off to the fishin grounds. Was marking fish around 40-50 foot deep and dropped the riggers one side with Kokaneekidfishing pink tiger spin n glow with a pink arrow flash dodger and the other side was a RMT chartreuse squid with a Vance’s dodger. Well the spin n glow side got slammed and off to the races we went and ended up with a nice 17.5 inch Koke in the box. Trolled around again and nothing, then I switched out the RMT Squid with a little different spin n glow and nothing. Well about that time the other rod with the same spin n glow set goes off and is running and fish on landed a 18 inch koke or maybe and 1/8 of an inch short but it was to dang close call, to me an 18 inch fish with an 11 inch girth. Trolling speed was 1.3 to 1.4 fish were caught one at 41 and the other at 42 feet off the riggers. Water temp was 71.7. Man what a nice foggy cool morning and put two real nice kokes in the boat made it even better! Kokanee_Slayer nice talking again, and you beat me with the fish count as always!
