Odell report July 1st to 6th

fishing was pretty good even with the full moon. Averaged about 20 fish a day with 2 rods. Depths were around 40 to 70 trolling, red and green were also good colors, last day we fished we landed 25 by 10 oclock all on red. Keep up the reports and good luck fishing.

How was the fishing at odell over the 4th? I'm heading over in a couple days
Sorry I didn't get back to you about my trip top Odell. Headed back east for 10 days one week after I got back. Been fishing at Green Peter res. since I got back. Hope your trip to Odell went well

I'm headed to Odell after Labor Day weekend. So how's the fishing been? What's working and at what depth. This will be a first time trip for me so i could really use the information. Finally got the wife to say yes and want to make the expierence a good one.

50-80' Purple was best but just about everything caught fish for us this past weekend. Caught 28 fish from 5:30-11:00. Many doubles and triples early.

Our best lure was a clear/purple hoochie with the bottom half dyed hot pink. It was new hoochie from Kokanee Kid Tackle and it was deadly for a while and solid all morning.

40-75' in 140'-160' of water off of structure on the west end. Polished brass teardrop dodger with a transparent pearl over blue tape. Only fished 2 hoochies, a pink UV with white head and an orange with dyed UV pink tentacles. 20 fish from 6:00am - 10:00am. Bigger fish were shallower.

Man I can't wait. Sounds like i'm going to have alot of options. I've got three days up there to fill the freezer for the winter. If anybody else goes up before the labor day weekend I would be honored if you would share your trip with us.

So how did everybody do this weekend? I understand that Odell is cool in the Morning warming up by 1000am. What was working best this weekend? Will be there Wed afternoon.

Fishing was slow over Labor Day we brought home 40 Kokanee caught a nice Mack, and bull trout. Fish are still in great shape with only a few showing the first signs of the spawn. Orange was the hot color with most fish being picked up on a orange tiger Spin N Glo and a Orange 1 3/4 hoochie with a Gold hammered size #2 blade in front of it. Still plenty of time to fill the freezer at Odell.

Fish On kokaneekid

Fished Odell on the 6th - 8th with moderate success 20 on the 6th, 12 on the 7th, and only fished the morning on the 8th and caught 4. Most of the fish were caught from 10am on. Caught maybe 5 fish on the downriggers anywhere between 20 and 70 feet. The rest were caught on the long line using a Cousin Carl with 2 oz weight back about 60 feet and an Assisn spinner or a Ratical Glow spinner. I set it up just like on Kokaneekid video at Odell last year and had a great time. But get this, I lost the whole rig (weight, flasher, lure) everything. My braded line some how parted and I lost everything. Good thing the little store at Shelter Cove had some smaller Cousin Carls (at 25% off) and things went back to normal. The smaller CC were much more fun when reeling in a fish. Those big ones were not so much fun, but effective.

How bad was the wind? Thinking of making a trip down there but I've seen how bad the wind get on that lake just from driving by and my little 14' boat doesn't handle rough water to well

Every day we had wind. My boat doesn't handle the wind as well. So used the big motor and went up wind and trolled downwind. Morning wind was from the west the it shifted from the east..Only on the first day was it flat for a few hours. Just don't fite it and go with it.
