Thanks,

Where are you? I know of a source in Sacramento, also Delta tackle sells some at Fishermans Marine in Portland.

I bought some at Sac Pro Tackle here in Sacramento and think the stuff is pretty much crap. When you go to buy it, bring your UV light with you. I think UV spray for your lures is a better way to go. Check out UV Flash.

I thought the same thing when I bought some, took it home and hit it with the black light.

Since then I have learned that there is no true "UV" tape, it is just a name that it has came to be known as. But what that tape does, and it is the same as used on many dodgers, is when it hits the water it explodes in bright vivid colors, a real rainbow. It looks like nothing in regular light, and nothing under a black light, but get it in some water, expecially with the sun shining, and you will go WOW, just like buying a shamwow. The last two weekends I caught 42 kokes by myself and a dodger with "UV" sling blade was the only type of attractor I used.

The narrow tape you can get at Sac Pro is great for lures but for the dodgers I use the wider stuff from Delta.

I upgraded alot of dodgers with the Delta Tackle tape the last couple years. It looks to be the same type that the Shasta Tackle dodgers have. I talked about the tape with Miralles at the Sportsman show...he made it sound like the stuff has some type of UV coating over the tape. I don't think it's uv reactive, but whatever it is it works. The other day out fishing I had just put one of those dodger's up and couldn't help but notice the way the water drops looked on it with direct sunlight...truly amazing! Going by alot of the fishing reports on various forums it seems that tape is very popular right now.

I had trouble getting the Delta Tackle UV tape where I live. After contacting them I learned that Delta and Gibbs Tackle just merged. If your local fishing supply store doesn't have the tape ask if they carry any Delta or Gibbs Products. If they do you can usually have them special order it and add it to their next order. The item number to give them for the tape is #08440. Last time I checked Delta Tackle doesn't have the tape listed on their web site.

I put some in a long oval shape on a vance gold dodger and that really made a great color combination, good for any water or weather condition.
