We started off the day jigging. I had just lowered one of my homemade jig's down to the bottom in about 100' of water when I thought I snagged up...ended up being the biggest of the day within 30 secounds of starting out ...nice 13 3/4"!! We thought to ourselfs this isn't going to take long but things slowed down after a couple more fish. It was definantly a trolling day up there today. After figuring out what apex's they liked we ended up keeping fish between 12-13" and let the smaller ones go to fight another day. The majority were caught useing ball trolls with set-backs between 10-15' with a black box setting of around .650 and best speed was 1.4mph. Corn was scented with kokanee special and koke special gel applied to the lures. The meat is BRIGHT red!! thumbsup

Thanks for the report SB. I have not been up there for over 2 years and I miss fishing in such a scenic place. I also miss the blood red meat.

I need to have a look at the stomach contents to verify, but what ever they are feeding on is red in color. It might be phytoplankton, or maybe a mutant daphnia.
