Riffe worms

Went to Riffe yesterday, on the water at 8:30am only 3 rigs in the lot. Lots of small fish jumping , 2 limits (not including the ones we released). All fish in the 13-15" range. 2 oz lead, 40 pulls back. Fished well above the white island markers. 2 bladed Ford fenders with red wedding rings. The water was flat all day with not a hint of wind. We caught one fish with worms out its anus, the vent was red and swollen and had large gray patches on the body, killed it and disposed of it on shore. Doesn't bode well for the future.Anyone have any information on where this infestation started?

Riffe posting

Yep, I read it . Been fishing Riffe for many years. This is the worst I have ever seen the worms up there. Didn't even see them until about 3 years ago. Not worried about the meat, but the future of the fish.
