Scotty 1050

I am thinking about buying a pair of Scotty 1050 downriggers for my 21' runabout along with their 1027 rail mounts. I know opinions vary but would like to know if anyone has experiance with these downriggers and what you all think? We are just starting out trying to troll and these would be our first downriggers.

My advice would be to go to the next model up. The 1050 is only one foot per crank. Go with the 1060 (two feet per crank.) Been useing them on both sides of the boat for the last 8 years with zero problems.
