Anybody have any guesses how fast a 35hp 2 stroke would push my no frills 14' Crestliner?

25-28. My old boat was a 16' tracker with a windshield and a 40hp and i could do 27 in it.

I had a Lund SSV14 and put a 30 hp Yami 4 stroke on it. It would top out (loaded with gear) at 32 mph on the gps. A two stroke will most likely top that. I wouldn't plan on using it for trolling however unless marlin are the target species.

I use to have a 40hp on a 15' glass runabout. It would cruz close to 30mph.

A lot will depend on what the load is and where you are fishing. My 16' tracker with a 40hp merc will do 21 at lake powell in calm conditions. Up at the gorge I'm lucky if I can hit 12 in calm conditions. When headed into the white caps on a rough day I'm more around 7-8 mph up at the gorge.
