Fished anvil Sunday not a lot of action, picked up a few rainbows and a few kokes but not longafter the sun came up things got real slow. Maybe the big ol moon had something to do with it, anyone else experience slow catching?

Actually I found it to be just the opposite north of you. we fished Breeze and did very well. Most fish came from below 60 feet but there were lots of them and lots of fisherman. Caught a 4.4 and a 4.8 and some decent laketought in 5-7 lb range. The 2 big koks came home with us, the others are still swimming.View attachment 6561View attachment 6562

Halojm what were you using to catch those monster kokes and pups? I am going up tomorrow tru Saturday.

RMT Bahama Momma dodger with pearl white squid. Most fish came from 60-65 feet. the 2 big fish came from 50 and 40. Go figure. On Saturday the bite was on a blue haze squid with the same dodger. The bite slowed a bit once the sun came up but fish were still being caugh just not as fast. Speed was 1.2-1.4. Lots of weeds and algae in water so it's important to keep lines clean to prevent premature releases. Bigger fish coming from up north still. A few being caught south but most less than 2lbs. If your marking fish and not getting hit, keep changing presentations. One day a different scent made the difference. Good luck.

I too was in the anvil draw area Sunday and it was kinda slow for us too... Ended up limiting out easy enough but was slower then I have normally done.. Guess I should have headed up north when my gut told me to but there is always next time.. Nice fish thanks for sharing those pics

Halojm is that breeze area down by buckboard, if it is how far do you have to travel? I fish from a 14' aluminum and traveling to far out is kind of risky. I would hate to get caught up in a storm to far out. Thanks.

It's a ways from buckboard and your right, it could be a problem if the wind kicked up. Good thing is there are a few coves with floating docks that you could duck into if needed but that something you would have to consider. Safety is always first. Never put yourself in a situation you cannot get out of.
