Spinners and Squids

Watched Roughin' it outdoors last night with the RMT guys and was wondering to catch fish on the beaded looking spinners with two hooks and a blade on the front, do you have to add bait? Same question goes for the squids. Is bait required? Does it make a difference if you are trying to catch kokanee or trout?

you can run them both with or wiithout bait, i have found i catch more trout with bait on them, also alot of koke guys are now running the berkley maggots and ad scent to them,

Kokanee do not bite because they are hungry. The bite because you pissed them off with the lure. Now you can add scent or bait and it will get there attention but they are not eating your lure or bait because they are hungry. The more bait and scnt you use the more of other species you will catch. If you want just Kokes lightly scent or bait it if you go that route.

Wells to answer your question scents and bait in my personnel experience are a must for the harvesting of Kokanee and trout they love the sugar in Choepeg corn and hit different scents at different times along with multitude of different colors that depend on wheather the Sun is out or its a Cloudy day and are also at times are reaction biter's/ pick up a few books that will help you get dialed in Kent Cannon has a good one out that would set you on the correct path /he is on this link/Kokanee kid has a great beginner box he has on his web-site also has some good how to viteos/good luck

We were out this past Saturday and having a brutal day without even a take down. Another boat was radioing good catches so we tried everything they said they were using, depth, speed and no results. Finally, they asked us if we had a specific scent, which we didn't. They threw us a bottle and we hooked 4 fish to end the day. Scent definitely makes a difference.
