Stampede update

Was there this morning. First line in at 6AM. Water temp 66 degrees, water was pretty flat, and was like glass by 7. Hooked 2 and released both. I'm snake bit this year, as I am unable to boat any size?!? Pink hoochie has worked most consistently. I've tried Apexs, FWG's of various colors and plenty of scents. I've seen others boat with several fish per rod and some limiting out after 5-6 hours. The size remains small. Is was a BEAUTIFUL morning.

I consider Stampede a "bug" lake for me. I like to run bugs at the "pede" more than any other place. Ted's bugs and Vance's bugs behind a watermelon Sep's 4/0 dodger. I also use sardine scent on the corn. These are a few tips that where passed along to me many years ago from a well know guide on the "pede" and it has never let me down as far putting fish in the boat when nothing else is doing the trick. As already stated, the fish are on the small size, 13 and a few 14's.
