I was working in the shop and was making a couple of 8lb weights and thought about what Dave said about making the weights detachable and decided to make pieces to make an 8lb to a 10lb to a 12lb or a 10lb to a 12lb I always tap mine for a mack broom so the conversion was simple this is my "one thing" environmentally speaking to keep lead out of the water that is why I took up down rigger fishing, you don't have to use lead. its a small thing but it might make a difference so heres some pictures if you want to give it a try. dfly
