The... Kokanator

Just a heads up...A new kokanee jig has just hit the market! The "Kokanator" by P-Line Tackle is one of the best looking jigs I've come across. This new jig is the first that I know of that is UV enhanced. The craftsmanship looks very good ( 3-D eyes, thick top coat, and comes with a #6 red treble. The only thing I had to do is remove the split ring since I tie directly to the lure. The P-Line web site doesn't even show these yet, but you can get a general idea by checking out the "Laser Minnows" which I personally used last season with great results. www.p-line.com thumbsup

Edit: Now what just a minute! If I remember correctly didn't Arnold wear combat boots in the movie Kokanator...I think it was Sarah Conners who was wearing the Air Jordan's.

Anyway...keep an eye out for this jigging lure. I picked up a few in the 1/2 and 3/4 ounce size the other day and they look to be a great addition to the tackle box.

Yep...but not the one in Bend. They've never heard of them! I got them from the store in Salem when we went over to pick up that motor I told you about.

Click on the P-Line web site in my original post. These new jigs are close to the laser minnows, but are uv coated and the paint is feathered...not a solid line. Also, the new jigs have more of a holographic appearance.

They have a couple now in Bend, but they are 2 oz size. I wish they would carry some sizes for smaller fish.

Those 2oz ones are the Laser Minnows. If you want them in 1/2oz or 3/4oz Bi Mart has a good selection to order from in their book on page 239. Also, Cent Wise carries them in the smaller sizes...not many colors though. I've mentioned over at Wholesale Sports that they need to get the smaller sizes and gave them the package that the Kokanator came in so they could add them to their next order...
