Washington Kokanee Power...on hold

Kokanee Power of Washington will not be able to continue at this time because some of life’s problems have come up for one of our board members. I have waited a few day’s to make this announcement in the hope that it would turn out differently. We have managed to complete some of the requirements for the organization but a new Board of Directors will have to be formed. I will try and help as much as possible in the change over, but I will not be the new President.

The BOD takes some people with the time, people and computer skills and the desire to make it happen. The President, Secretary and Treasurer are the key positions. I have met and talked with many people the past few months and I know that there is a lot of interest in KPOW and that it will not be long before it is up and running. I would also like to thank all of you for your help.

Kokanee Power of Washington- Down but not out?

Its been a little while since I made the report that KPOW is on hold & I have talked with several people about it.

We were able to put out the KPOW Web site and I have a list of over 100 interested people, the start up Money is still ready to go, and we have a lot of Sponsers that would like to see it happen.

BUT we dont have a BOARD of DIRECTORS!

With YOUR HELP it can HAPPEN!

Without YOUR HELP it will NOT!

I am very interested in Kokanee Power of Washington. I was doing all I could to get it going in my area.

The website is in someone else name. Shouldn't it be taken down?

It does help to know how much the commitment will take and we need people who can commit even if the going gets tough.

Be carful Richard with all the time and effort you are willing to put into a project like this you may get recruited by Kokanee Power of Oregon. Too bad I was looking forward to some Washington derbies & enhancement projects. Don't give up this project is only a few volunteers away from becoming a reality.

I understand that this got put on hold for now, but just wanted to find out more about where the process was etc. I am definately interested in Kokanee enhancement projects and think with the popularity in Kokanee fishing on the rise, we will very soon be in need of a Kokanee power of Washington, or a project Kokanee like California has. I think it will be time to soon to do what we can to at least get involved in the Kokanee enhancement arena and wanted to put it out there to see what the interest level amopng the Washington Kokanee anglers.
