Thank You. I am hoping for cooler temps for my next visit. Is there a place where the temps are posted for Flaming Gorge? I found the Flaming Gorge water Database web site but they don't update the water Temperatures. bandmyhead

The water this morning north of Buckboard early was 58 degrees and went up to 60 later on. The rainbow fishing was pretty good and we kept 6.

Upon arriving back at Buckboard at the boat ramp there were several red kokanees right at the ramp. I have never seen them there before.

Regards, Keith

Must be planters returning to where they were introduced?

This morning at 7:30 AM at Buckboard the water temp was 54.5 degrees and went up to almost 57 later. The rainbows were very active and we caught some nice ones with the largest measuring 22.5 inches. What worked for us was small jointed Rapala Shad Rap.

We went fishing yesterday November 9. We launched at Buckboard and went north. At launching time air temp was 17 degrees F and the water was 49. With the cold air temperature there was dense fog but as the air warmed up the fog was gone and after that there was bright sun and very comfortable fishing for the rest of the day.

The rainbows were very active again hitting the Shad Raps. We kept 2 limits and 3 of the fish were very nice with one fish being in the 31/2-4 pound range.

We were hooked up with something very large for a short while, probably a large Mack but it got off. We didn't see the fish.

Regards, Keith
