Big trout aren't the only trout looking for food. There were lots of trout frye in the system also looking for bits of flesh and nutrients.

I agree SB....I grew up in Northern CA Gold Country and could always rely on the fact that if the fishing stunk I could always bring home a creel full of 'dads for Mom to boil up!
