Last month on our trip to Whiskeytown we had a tire blowout that was violent enough to destroy one of the trailer fender back splash boards. The other side was 10 years old so I decided to make a new set. The original set was just carpet stapled to 3/8" plywood. I went up to 7/16" and painted both sides and edges with an oil based enamel. Carpet got just a little glue and SS staples at the edges.
