Was at Anderson to check out the water level and floating docks at Curlew. Water is just touching the end of the floating dock. Not fishing today

By the way, if anyone did find my electric down rigger stuck in the mud when the water was down, let me know? It was just past Macks Creek around the corner toward AR.

Went out yesterday for 2 hours caught two with longline 100 ft no weight and a yellow and red panther martin of all things? Water is nearly 45 degrees and both fish were directly across from spring shores

Where you guys finding fish. I was there Thursday and fished two poles with two different set ups and tried multiple depths. Saw very few marks on my fish finder. Didnt get a nibble all day. On one pole i had a dodger with pink squid tipped with corn. Other pole i had a kokanee troll tipped with green scented maggot. One was near top and other was at 10' . Tried 20' and 30' too. Seemed like the few marks i did see were around 25'.
Only good part of the day was that I am getting good with my Ulterra 112 and humminbird 889ci. My 36v system started out at 37.4v and after 6hrs of trolling it was at 36v after pulling arojnd my heavy 22' boat. My 889ci actually shows my downrigger ball and where my rig is above that in the water.

was there today think they are in hibernation boated 1 kok early lost 2 bust all day talked to lots of boats dismal am I the highliner ? please someone tell me they caught 2 or more :) that's KOK fishing wonder if its that they are dumping water as fast as it comes in?

Question on long lining squids since I usually use downrigger -

Are you using a dodger and if so are you using any weight in front or how much line out to get the dodger to stay under water?

I seem to recall the once or twice I tried long lining dodger/squid the dodger would often be planing up on top of water even with a bunch of line out.

Fishing was slow today! Was there 4.5 hrs caught 1 Kok and 1 trout on DR @ 16' deep. There were many fishing boats at Goose Neck bay I just wonder how they do?

It was slow I only boated 2 and they were 14 and 16, Marked some big schools across from the marina but I threw the sink at them and no joy. There was a crowd for sure seen 1 PWC and 4 wakers out already.

Unless you are using a spinner or some other device to add action to your squid, you will need a dodger to give the squid some action. I usually start with a couple of split shot or a small rubber core lead weight about three feet in front of the dodger to help keep it under the water. If I am not catching fish up top, then switch it out to a larger rubber core weight if need be. If I am catching fish with the larger weight I usually use my downriggers as you can be more exact with the depth. Ten feet or deeper I go with the downrigger. That way it is just you and the fish, no need for added weight beyond your squid and dodger

We had a good day, brought home our limits of nice size kokes. Started early and stayed until late after noon to get it done. Caught all in the top 20'. Gold dodger w/orange crappie tube flat lined and orange spin-n-glow 12' on D.R. were top producers also silver apex and pink squid behind a pink sling blade caught fish also. All were caught in site of spring shores boat launch.
Good luck! Hope the pictures will openView attachment 8485

I went out on Thursday and Friday afternoon. On Thursday I hooked about 10 but only landed 3. On Friday I managed to catch my limit. I caught my last three in about 5 minutes.

The crappie tube is a squid style that we fish behind a dodger as a hoochie they are smaller and less expensive. Flat lined to me is to pull it behind the boat with no weight . The dodger I was using will run about 4' deep with no weight. Good luck!
