    Salmon fishing in Sekiu, WA

sawtooth, I'll be there opening week July 1st thru the July 4th morning bite. The opener is usually pretty decent, with some decent sized Chinook in the mix, and the time frame your thinking about heading over is better because the larger fish start to move in!! It sounds like your an "Old Salt"...

    Hook Orientation on hoochie rigs....Question

KokeRook, I tie my double hook rigs the same way you do, opposing each other, maybe a touch more spacing between the hooks, and maybe a bit more of the bottom hook exposed to increase bite surface area. Nice hooks by the way!!! Winterun

    Wounded Warrior Fishing Day-Washington

Looks like NOAA updated the weather forecast for Saturday slightly. The winds are going to stay the same pretty much, SW winds in 7-8mph range shouldn't be too much of a problem. But the precip went from a 50% chance to 60% still not too awful bad. Just going to be wet longer!!! I'll have a...

Just wanted to find out if anyone was commuting from the Tacoma area and wanted to caravan down to Mossy Rock Saturday morning??? I was thinking of leaving around 5:00am to get the boat in the water, but open to different times and routes. As I was just going to take the I5 route, a bit longer...

Finally at the lake 8:15am-8:30am, got under way and headed to where I left my last GPS track on Thursday. What would we...

things we are doing to our boats for this years fishing season

I have the same unit! 788 CI HD Combo. It has more bells and whistle's on it than I can use. But the color screen is excellent to look at and in bright sunlight no problems at all, well unless you have polarized sunglasses on. Just keep updating the software, it's expandable, and has an extra...

    my new glow dodger

dragonfly, Great idea! There's a lure manufacture in the midwest that makes spoons with this feature. He gave me a bunch of them to use out here in the PNW. But have not got a chance to get them wet. Some of the spoons he gave are as big as your typical Shasta Tackle, Rocky Mtn, dodger, same...

    Trying To Stay Busy

SuperD, Yes we get that alot at consumer shows. Sorry! But we basically set up shop and get a chance to talk to folks about "all" the hooks we manufacture as most retailers can't possibly carry everything we make. But on the plus side though, it's our way of supporting our whoesaler...
