    Kok's near B'Ham

Samish and Padden are probably your best bets. I believe that Cain lake has had plants in the past, but I have never seen a report from there. Padden is perfect for a car topper. Electric motors only in Padden. Samish is quite fishable in a cartopper. I fish it in a 8 ft. pram at times, though...

    Lake Samish 2011

I've caught them all the way into October. Once the water warms up, you'll want to switch to DR's as usual. Something with green always seems to work, with purple as a backup.

    Lake Samish 2011

The kokes are finally turning on up here north of Stevens. Tried to get out yesterday, but had to abort with fish jumping everywhere when I had technical difficulties with the trolling motor. So today, the rain finally let up about 6 PM and I head for the boat launch, and the fish were happy to...

    Toad Lake, Whatcom County

I've never fished it, and had heard that the state had quit stocking kokes there,,,,BUT, the WDFW web site says they stocked 10K, 15K and 30K fry there the last 3 years, so there should be some in there.

    Lake Samish

They run a little small, with 9 to 10 inches about average. this is my first season catching kokes, but my largest out of Samish is 12 inches. I've seen reports that Lake Cavanaugh has produced 14 inchers, it is not too far away. An acquaintance says Samish can produce 14+ inchers later in the...

    Lake Samish

Another good morning on the lake. In general they are moving a little deeper, but I caught fish all the way from the surface to 35 feet, with about 15 feet being the most popular today. 5 or 6 boats out today, some long lining, some jigging, some with downriggers. All seemed to be catching fish...

    Lake Samish

A great evening bite in light rain on Lake Samish. Put in my little 9 foot fish slayer about 5:30 and had fish-on less that 100 ft. from the boat ramp. A steady bite for the next hour, with fish 5 in the boat about 6:45. The fish are still shallow, and still liking the orange/green wedding ring...

    Samish again

They were still biting on Lake Samish yesterday evening. I got there about 7 PM. Surface activity picked up soon after that. Getting pretty steady bites from 5 feet to 25 feet...with the most activity being on the shallow end of the spectrum. Trolling slingblades and wedding rings, purple and...

    Lookin for lakes

Samish works I am also a newbie to this kokanee fishing. I hit Samish this AM for my 2nd attempt at getting the little buggers in the boat. Had a limit in a little less than 2 hours trolling green and orange and/or green and black wedding rings tipped with Gulp maggots(white). I was in my...
