Went to GP yesterday nov.8th started out downrigging 25' 20' 15' 10' very slow so I put one pole out the back flat lining and that is all it took caught 25 koks and 4 trout kept the koks for canning they were 9" to 11". fished the rest of the day flat I would say under 5' using Vance Gold dodger. Also tried a new Vance dodger halografic Gold it held its own against the classic gold. Terminal tackle was purple LADY uv haze hoochie, and Flame orange pink tail w/blade hoochie. Spinners were the hottest using [green VIPER, pink Bengal, pink BENGAL cub, green BENGAL, and green BENGAL cub]. The water was clear and 58* on top. Will be talking about how to be a successful at the Kok, Trout, and Salmon show in March see the events portion of this forum for all the info.

Anybody know if the roads are clear? Heading up tomorrow. Don't wanna take any chances
Got some info from another site that the water may be too low for me to launch. I have a little 14'smoker craft. Anybody tell me if I'm OK or not?

Vance dodger

Not sure if Hoys Hardware in Sweet Home carries them. I bought mine at the Hardware store on highway 34 out of Lebanon. Also there will be a seminar in Lebanon on March 9 th at the senior center from 5 to 9 I am sure Vance will have some there.

thanks for the info . When was the last time you were at GP? Was there a lot of stuff in the water, logs, trees, etc. And is that ramp a year round ramp? Is it the Thistle creek ramp that you are using?

http://www.nwd-wc.usace.army.mil/nwp/teacup/willamette/ this is a link to the gp water levels. It fluctuates and toe of the ramp is at 919. But yes thistle is year round. But I was out Feb.3 and fishing was really slow and most fish are staging really deep. Me personally I'm gonna wait till the water warms later in march. Debree was not a problem. It was 39° by my finder on top. Hope this helps!

Got out today 2 fish right out of the gate by whitcomb the rest were caught between the island and Talley Creek. 25-30 on DR the hottest pole was freeline with watermelon appex and gold flashers. Ended up with 12 not bad for 1st trip I think they are little bigger than last year.

I have started a 2013 Green Peter reporting thread. It is the 6th one down from the top on the Oregon Kokanee Report page.

I will be posting weekly reports as soon as I get out on the water which should be late April, I am just waiting for the little buggers to put on some weight. It is encouraging that they sound a little longer than they were last year at this time.

HEY thanks for the report. Got a couple of the gold dodgers from kokanee tackle. Can't wait to try them. Got to hook up my new hd humminbird fish finder before I hit the water. Keep on ripping!
