American Lake 11/01/11

Got to launch about 7:45 this morning and had our first fish about 8:30. We got our limit, 10 kokanee, by 11:30. We were using yellow and white dodgers and red wedding ring and maggots. What a beautiful day out on the water.

Thanks for the report. I will give it a try friday. Are you trolling deeper with the colder weather? I did great in the summer trolling with a downrigger at about 30feet down, north of the the big island. Lately i have been reading about people doing well south of the island.

Hey Winterun, it is kind of nice to get out during the middle of the week. It has been a long time coming. We went out again today and got 7 before 10:00 and then they quite as soon as the fog lifted. We caught most of them at 40 ft with the same set up as yesterday. Going to stay in and catch up on lost sleep tomorrow.

We are heading to Scanewa lake next week and try for some salmon off the Cowlitz in the rain and cold. Hope it is worth it.

I know what you mean about sleep. I'm headed to the coast this weekend Saturday, Sunday and Monday I'm sure I'll loose some sleep also!!!

According to the TPU website they have put alot of fish in Scanewa. I was almost tempted to go out there myself. I hope you get into them!
