Well here it is. I must start with the fact that we all indeed know that the water temp is far lower than what is needed. The day started off great. The 15 horse I was worrying about fired up like a champ and scooted right along. We had all the gear we needed and off to the races we went. We trolled all around the big island, made numerous runs back and forth from island to N. boat ramp. NOTHIN'! not even a nibble. Just as everyone else has reported. I knew it was bound to happen but can you blame a guy for trying? I threw everything at em' INCLUDING the kitchen sink. Dodgers of all sizes/colors, smile blades to the craziest of Mack's. Nothing. The most action we had was when we decided to anchor down on the north side of the big island and toss a few worms and pautzke eggs out on a bobber... A friggin' Kokanee jumped no more than 2 feet off the bow! TWICE! 20 from the shore line! was super funny. What a jokester..Anyway no such luck yet. The trout didnt even want to come out and play. Heres a few pics from the trip. Unfortunately no fish where harmed in the making of these pics.
All in all was a nice day on the lake.
