Headed out to Ashley today with the family ( got a late start). Started jigging at about 11am in the small cove near the campground. One on with and a release that was not on purpose. Got bored after about an hour and started trolling. Wedding rings with a hammered brass tear drop dodger. No wire just top lined both lines. Wind really started picking up. Ended up with 3, all were right at 10 inches. All in all we had fun, I think that if you hit it early and really stuck with it you could have a pretty good day.

we need to make serious effort to fish the crap out of Ashley, remove a ton of them little salmon so the rest can grow. There are a few 2-3 pounders in there, but not very many.

Only Bummer about Ashley is getting in there...I've only ever gone one time and it about beat the living crap out of my trailer and boat...if anyone knows of a better launch than the public one on the north side of the lake please do tell...
