Just wanted to give a quick summary as I kept forgetting about it.
I was having issues with my Trollmaster changing speed overtime. MarineTech was awesome to work with and they sent me a whole new unit. I swapped out parts one at time (controller, servo) to observe the change. I didn't see any and have now concluded the speed change over time is a result of the engine warming being the servo is attached to the manifold. Regardless, it's still an awesome unit and works great for any type of trolling. I've loved it whether trolling slow for lake trout, mid-speed for kokes, or up to 3.5 mph for wipers. I was also really impressed with the customer service when working with MarineTech. I definitely recommend it.
One nice thing about the equipment swap is I spliced/added a connector for my controller. I can now pull the controller if I want and stow it away. Kinda nice and might be something you consider when you install. MarineTech sent me a trailer connector which works perfectly. I also left a lot of extra cable so I can walk around the boat with it if I like. So far, I've just left it on the helm though, so I'm not sure I'll use that option.
Thanks again for all the tech advice guys. Ryno
