There are a lot of hoochies out there and some have blades, some don't. I have a few but not too many. I don't really see much difference in the action and they don't seem to perform any better for me. Just wondering how you guys feel about them?

I think it is more about what the fish want... is it a spinner bite or a hoochie bite? With a spinner hoochie you can lengthen out your leader if you want since the spinner will have it's own action.

At Berryessa earlier in the year they wanted extremely short leaders and spinner hoochies have been in top rotation for me this year over straight Hoochies, either the Hoochie Mama style (blade in front of an RGT) from KokaneeMart or the RMT Pink UV Splatter Squid Spinner setup. These two have been go to setups for me this year. I throw out straight Hoochies as well. Every year it is something that gets more focus and for me it's been a lot of spinner hoochies. Your mileage may vary. :)

Most of the hoochies I fish have spinner blades but since I generally fish hoochies on a slow mph bite, I don't use them with standard blades. I prefer smile blades and order them in bulk from the wedding ring mfg. Max lures. They will turn at any speed and can really bring the bite on!thumbsup

Last year my ticket to limits was a simple pink hoochie trimmed down from 2.5inches. This year the spinnerhoochie combo with offset hooks worked great in the early season and had a great hookset ratio.

Oops...I guess now I've leaked an image of the "green machine."

I use those same Danielson Hoochies when I tie my own rigs! Great hoochies!
