How Many Rods You Fishin?

I can't imagine inviting friends on the boat in states where there is no rod limit! It is tough enough when they show up with 2 rods and a big tackle bag now. "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat."

Just remember Dave,you are the captain of your dinghy. You get to say how many rods are used.

Just installed a new rod holder out the back so with 2 lines on the downriggers each and a long line out the back 5 total. And of course you could mix it up with 1 on each dowrigger and 3 longlines.

I run 4 down riggers with 4 poles. 2 JJ and 2 heavier ugly sticks. At the Gorge I like to fish for Macs and Kokes at the same time. Sometimes I'll use all 4 for Kokes. I keep a couple spining Rods on board for misc fishing. If the fish are smaller I also use a super light pole with a 101 TICA for fun. I have holders for eight rods on board. I think I am out of my mind. Sometimes it becomes more work than fun.tongue2

Always run 2 rods where allowed. I like to run a quality setup for the lake I am fishing and the second rod is always a R & D rod unless I am fishing kings.
