Went to Buckboard for a quick trip over Utah's Pioneer day yesterday. Got started at 6 and got a couple kokes off-the-bat for my buddy's kids, 7 and 9. Then the armada showed up and things slowed to s stand still for us. We went off after a couple hours and chased some other places - got each of the boys nice rainbows, and lost a couple something others.

Went back to the thinned fleet off Breeze Hill and put out some different stuff, and about 12:30 made a sandwich and opened a beer. That did the trick (beer, me thinks) and couldn't finish it for the poles a poppin'. There is definitely a learning curve to getting a pole out of the holder, the kid in place, rod in his hand and reelin'. We lost several that had been strippin' line at the start, then nada when the kid took it. Others to the boat, and one last jerk on the rod gives a just-beyond-net release. What a great time!

Biggest was 20", and to watch those kids measure it on top of the cooler, inches then centimeters, put it in, take it out and measure again. What is the term, priceless?

Sorry no pics as my buddy has not sent them to me yet.

My friend and I will be back Aug 5-8 on his new boat for a few days where I might be able to reel some in ;-)

Tight lines to all.

I'll be arriving on the 6th, and fishing the 7th-12th. i'll be in the Breeze Hill area, in a 22' white Motion Marine hardtop boat, with a 225 Honda outboard. cruise by and say howdie!

We'll be in the Buckboard marina private RV park in a cab-over on white Ford 350 dually. Stop by if you wish an update on what we found on the 6th. Our boat is '5 O'Clock Somewhere II', a 24' Bayliner Explorer (I think that is the model as this is a new boat for my buddy).
